Samsung working on Exynos 8890 powered clamshell smartphone
Clamshell phones have not set the sales chart on fire, but that hasn't stopped Samsung from releasing clamshell smartphones. Last year, the company launched SM-W2016 in China with high-end specification and clam shell design.
And now Samsung is reportedly working on its successor, the SM-W2017. The clamshell bodied phone is codenamed 'Veryon' and offers premium design, high-end specifications, just like the predecessor.
The Samsung SM-W2017 is expected to come with dual 3.9-inch HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 SoC (the same utilized by Galaxy S7/S7 edge), 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is expected to sport the same glass-and-metal build as the Galaxy S7.
The SM-W2017, just like its predecessor will be exclusive to China. That's all the details available at the moment.
