The semi-modular LG G5 is now available in India for Rs. 52,990

LG recently opened pre-order for the LG G5 in India, and now the phone is available for purchase in the country. The main highlight of the phone is its semi-modular design, that lets you swap the chin of the device with Friends module. In addition to modular design, the LG G5 comes with metal body, dual-camera setup and Always-on display.

The LG G5 is priced at Rs. 52,990 and is available exclusively from Flipkart, and is also available through retail stores. It comes bundled with a free spare battery and charging cradle worth Rs. 3,499 for a limited period. The LG G5's modular accessories, CAM Plus, 360 VR headset and 360 CAM are priced at Rs. 6,500, Rs. 21,490 and Rs. 21,990 respectively, and are also available for purchase in the country.

The LG G5 features 5.3-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 16MP/8MP dual rear cameras, 8MP front camera, Fingerprint scanner and 2800mAh battery. It runs Android Marshmallow with LG UX on top.

As for the 'Friends' accessories the Cam Plus module comes with physical buttons for power, shutter, record and zoom and has features like Auto Focus and exposure lock. It also packs an additional battery capacity of 1200mAh. The 360 VR headset connects to to the LG G5's USB Type-C port via a dedicated cable. It offers an immersive viewing experience as if watching an 130-inch TV from 2 meters away. The 360 CAM is a compact 360-degree angle camera equipped with two 13-megapixel 200-degree wide angle camera, 4G internal storage (w/ microSD card slot) and a built-in 1200mAh battery. It offers 2K video and 5.1 surround channel recording on three microphones to create high quality 360-degree content. Images taken from the 360 CAM can be uploaded to Google Street View and YouTube 360.
