2TB Xbox One S to go on sale starting August 2
At E3 2016, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One S, the most compact Xbox yet, which was 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox. Now Microsoft has announced that the console will hit the shelves on August 2 in select markets.
The 2TB launch edition Xbox One S is priced at $399 and will be available in limited quantities in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and the U.S.
Unfortunately, India is not on the list, but Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox One S will come to other markets later this year, so we can expect India to be on that list.
The Xbox One S comes with 4K Ultra HD video support, HDR capabilities, IR blaster, 3 x USB ports, controller pairing button (on front), built-in power supply and a newly designed wireless controller w/ Bluetooth connectivity.
The Xbox One controller will also be sold as a standalone product on August 2 for $59.99. There's two more versions of Xbox One S: 500GB and 1TB priced at $299 and $349 respectively, and they will go on sale later this year.
