Alleged specs of HTC Marlin Nexus leaked
HTC is reportedly making two Nexus smartphones for Google this year code-named Sailfish and Marlin. Just last week the alleged full specifications of the HTC Sailfish Nexus were leaked. Now possible specs of HTC Marlin Nexus have also surfaced in another leak.
According to the souce, HTC Marlin Nexus will be the bigger and better Nexus out of the duo and will be the successor of Nexus 6P. It will feature 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1400 pixels) AMOLED display and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm SoC, which could be Snapdragon 820 SoC, or the rumored Snapdragon 821 or 823 SoC, backed by 4GB RAM. It will be available only in two storage options – 32GB and 128GB, there is not 64GB storage option this time.
There will be 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. Other features include rear-mounter fingerprint scanner, a 3450mAh battery, USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 4.2. The Marlin will run Android Nougat out of the box.
The HTC Sailfish Nexus will have the same design and share quite a few specs with Marlin including the SoC, RAM, storage, camera, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port, except for the display which is 5-inch 1080p and a smaller 2770mAh battery.
The HTC Sailfish and Marlin are expected to be unveiled alongside Android Nougat in Q4 2016.
