HTC Sailfish Nexus device possible specs surfaces

Earlier this year, rumors surfaced that HTC will build two Nexus devices for Google this year. Now more details have surfaced online. Android Police citing trusted sources has revealed specifications for the Nexus phone code-named "S1" or "Sailfish".

Sailfish will be the smaller device from this year's Nexus line, and will be the successor of Nexus 5x. The phone will have a 5-inch 1080p screen, which is smaller compared to Nexus 5x' 5.2-inch. It will come with an unspecified 2GHz quad-core 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (multiple models could be available), 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.

Other specifications include rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, headphone jack (on top), speaker (bottom) and 2770mAh battery. It will run Android N.

Besides Sailfish, the second HTC built Nexus device this year is code-named "Marlin" and will reportedly come with 5.5-inch display and Snapdragon 821 SoC.
