LYF Water 8 with 5-inch AMOLED display, 3GB RAM, 4G VoLTE launched for Rs. 10,999


Reliance Retail's sub-brand LYF has launched a new Water series smartphone in India. Dubbed Water 8, it offers 4G LTE connectivity along with VoLTE (voice over LTE) support just like other LYF branded smartphones, which is their USP. The handset will come bundled with Jio SIM that offers unlimited voice and data usage for three months.

The LYF Water 8 comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor further aided by Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, both accompanied by an LED flash. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE (w/ VoLTE), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB connectivity. It is fueled by a 2,600mAh battery, which promises to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 320 hours of standby time.

The LYF Water 8 is priced at Rs. 10,999 and will be available via Reliance digital stores across the country in Black or White colors
