Nexus, Android One devices gets spam calling protection feature

Google has announced that it is rolling out an update to Google Phone app (v4.0) for Nexus and Android One devices, giving it protection from spam callers.

The spam protection update paired with caller ID offers Nexus and Android One users the ability to see information about callers that are not stored in the contacts, as well as report spam callers and block them. When you get a spam call on your phone, the incoming call will be displayed in red along with a message "suspected spam caller" or "spam" on the screen. For regular callers, incoming call screen color will be blue.

Google says that Nexus and Android One devices will have Caller ID & Spam protection enabled by default, but in case you want to configure the setting visit the support page here.
