TP-Link announces Android Marshmallow powered Neffos Y5L entry-level phone


Popular networking device make TP-Link forayed into the smartphone market in January, with the launch of Neffos C5, Neffos C5L and Neffos C5 Max. Now TP-Link has announced a new entry level phone dubbed Neffos Y5L running Android Marshmallow.

The TP-Link Neffos Y5L comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor aided by Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-baord storage is 8GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

It offers 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity there's 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support. It is fueled by 2020mAh battery.

The TP-Link Neffos Y5L will soon be released in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and the major Asian markets including India. Pricing will be announced closer to the sale in these countries. It comes in white, black and yellow colors.
