ZUK Z2 Rio Edition is the most affordable Snapdragon 820 smartphone at $240


Lenovo's sub brand ZUK launched the ZUK Z2 earlier this year in May. Now the brand to commemorate Rio 2016 Olympics Games, has launched ZUK Z2 Rio Edition in China.

The ZUK Z2 Rio edition offers almost similar specs as ZUK Z2, except for the amount of RAM and storage. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, compared to 4GB RAM/64GB storage in the original ZUK Z2. It also come pre-loaded with Rio Olympics 2016 based special contents like themes and wallpapers.

As for the other specs, the ZUK Z2 Rio edition has 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 13MP rear camera (w/ LED flash), 8MP front camera, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, USB Type-C and dual-SIM slots. It runs Android Marshmallow and includes fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. A 3500mAh battery completes the package.

The ZUK Z2 Rio edition is priced at CNY 1599 ($240 | Rs. 16,000), making it the most affordable Snapdragon 820 powered phone, available in the market. It comes in Black or White hues and will be available in China starting August 2.
