Apple will unveil the next iPhone on September 7


It's official. The next iPhones will be launched on September 7.

Apple has sent out invites for its annual fall event scheduled for September 7 for unveiling the new products including new iPhones and Apple Watch 2.The event will be held at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco at 10:00 am PT (10:30 PM IST).

Similar to last two years, this year, there will be two new iPhone models (iPhone 7/7 Plus or whatever), the standard one with 4.7-inch screen and the Plus model with 5.5-inch screen. The design will remain unchanged, however, Apple is getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack, and the new iPhones will have Force Touch Home button and redesigned antenna lines. 

They will be powered by Apple's A10 chip and the base model will have 32GB storage, instead of 16GB. The other storage models will be 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. According to Evan Blass the new iPhones will go on sale from September 16.

The Apple Watch 2, it will have a bigger battery, faster processor and improved waterproofing. There will be two variants and one of them will feature GPS and a barometer.

Apple will be live streaming the event at Apple.com and can be watched from iPhone, iPod and Windows 10 PC.
