Corning introduces Gorilla Glass SR+ for wearables
Corning has introduced their latest glass protection technology called Gorilla Glass SR+, specifically designed for wearable devices.
The Corilla Glass SR+ can deliver up to 70 percent better damage resistance against imapcts and 25 percent better surface reflection compared to alternative protective glass materials. The improved optical performace enables wearables to have improved outdoor readability and longer battery life.
"This is designed to endure bumps, knocks and scrapes wearables encounter while maintaining the optical clarity and touch sensitivity required for on-the-go connectivity", says Corning.
Corning's Gorilla Glass SR+ is now commercially available and is expected to be used in wearable devices that are coming later this year
