Asus ZenWatch 3 Android Wear smartwatch with round dial announced

Asus has announced the its latest ZenWatch model called ZenWatch 3 powered by Android Wear and is the first in the lineup to feature a round design.

The ZenWatch 3 sports a 36L stainless steel body and is just 9.96mm thick.  It comes in Gunmetal, Silver and Rose Gold colors with interchangeable straps, including Italian leather and rubber strap. The round dial is accented by a thin gold ring.

The smartwatch features three-button system that offers quick access to frequently used functions such as ZenFit activity tracking app and changing display modes.

The ZenWatch 3 has 1.39 AMOLED display bearing the resolution 400 x 400 pixels, Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB eMMC, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi, 6-axis (gyro and accelerometer) sensors and Ambient light sensor. 

It is IP67 rated making it dust and water resistant and is fueled by 340mAh battery with HyperCharge technology, that promises 60 percent charge in 15 minutes. The smartwatch also comes with magnetic charge, a Watch stand and a external battery pack that offers 40 percent longer battery life.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 starts at 229 Euros ($254 | Rs. 17,000) and will be available from October.
