Acer unveils Swift 1, Swift 3, Swift 5 and the thin Swift 7 notebooks


Acer has introduced the Swift 7 ultra-thin notebook with aluminum unibody design which is less than 10mm thick and weighs just 1.1kg.

The Acer Swift 7 features 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass on top and is powered by 7th generation (Kaby-Lake) Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. It runs Windows 10 and includes 2 x USB Type-C ports and an HDR-enabled webcam. It promises up to 9 hours of battery life.

Acer Swift 7 will be available in North America and EMEA with prices starting at $999.

Acer's Swift 3 and Swift 5 notebook features 14-inch displays and can be configured with up to 7th gen Intel Core i7 processors, up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD. Other features include USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner and WiFi 802.11ac. The Swift 5 promises 15 hours of battery life, while the Swift 3 will run for 12 hours on single charge.

The Acer Swift 1 is an entry-level model and the most affordable of the lot. It features 14-inch HD display, Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB eMMC storage. The laptop has an  HDMI port, an SD card slot, and two USB ports.

The Acer Swift 5, Swift 3 and Swift 1 prices start at $749, $499 and $249 respectively. The Swift 5 and Swift 3 will be available in North America in October, while the Swift 1 will be available in November.
