Acer launches Spin line of Windows 10 convertible notebooks
Acer has introduced new Spin line of convertible notebooks. The Spin line convertibles includes four model – Spin 7, Spin 5, Spin 3, Spin 1 and all feature touchscreen displays, 360-degree hinges, Windows 10 and Continuum.
The Spin 7 has a 14-inch 1080p IPS display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor, and packs 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. It also include 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C ports and promises eight hours of battery life. It is 10.98mm thin, weighs 1.2kg and sport polished silver hinges and diamond cut edges around the touch-pad.
The Spin 5 comes with 13.3-inch display and features an optional pen input. It can be configured with up to 7th gen Intel Core processors, up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB SSD. It is rated to deliver 10 hours of battery life.
The Spin 3 flaunts a 15.6-inch display and comes with either HD or Full HD screen options. It can be configured with up to 6th gen Intel Core processors, up to 128GB RAM and up to 256GB SSD or 1TB HDD. It promises 9.5 hours of battery life.
Lastly the Spin 1 comes in 13-inch or 11.6-inch 1080p models and the configuration includes new Intel Pentium or Celeron processors, up to 8GB RAM and up to 64GB eMMC flash storage or 1TB HDD. It supports Acer's Active Pen with Windows Ink, and the screen is covered with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Acer Spin 7, Spin 5, Spin 3 and Spin 1 prices start at $1199, $599, $499 and $249 respectively. The Spin 7, Spin 5, Spin 3 will be available from October, while the Spin 1 will be available from December in the U.S.
