Microsoft starts rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update

Earlier this month, Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 Anniversary update for PCs and tablets running Windows 10. Now Microsoft has started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update for Windows Phones.

The release build is 14393.67, which is the same released to Insiders a few weeks back, so those on Insider program who are on that build will not get the update. Others can check for the update by going to Settings >  Update & Security > Phone Update > Check for updates.

The Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary update includes:
  • Bug fixes and security updates
  • Support for tap-to-pay for Microsoft Wallet (phones with NFC chips)
  • A camera icon appears on the lock screen, which lets you get to the camera app more quickly
  • Support for snapping panoramic photos (on some phones)
  • New Universal Windows Platform version of the Skype app
  • Additional Cortana features, including find-my-phone and the ability to add photos to reminders
