Moto G4 Play landing in India on September 6 on Amazon

Motorola (owned by Lenovo) introduced the entry-level Moto G4 Play back in May alongside the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. The Moto G4 and Moto G4 are already on sale in India, and now the company has revealed that it will launch the Moto G4 Play in the country on September 6.

Motorola is teasing the launch on its twitter handle with the slogan ‘Here it is! Put an end to the Now on the most affordable Moto G ever! . The company is yet to reveal the pricing of Moto G4 Play, but did reveal that it will be Amazon India exclusive. We expect the pricing to be under Rs. 10,000.

The Moto G4 Play sports the same design as Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus but the specs have been toned-down, and has a smaller design. The Moto G4 Play has 5-inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE and 2800mAh battery.

It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and have nano-coated body making it splash proof. Reports suggest that Motorola will launch a lower end model of Moto G4 Play as well with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

Recently another Moto phone, the Moto E3 Power went on sale in Hong Kong for INR equivalent of Rs. 9,500.
