Polar M600 is a Android Wear fitness smartwatch


Polar, a company that specializes in fitness devices has announced a new Android Wear smartwatch dubbed M600 which also functions as a fitness tracker.

The watch packs optical heart rate sensor that uses 6 LEDs to detect accurate heart rate. It also has a range of other sensors including accelerometer, gyroscrope and ambient light. It comes with in-built GPS for 24/7 tracking and can track activity, sleep, steps, distance traveled, calories and also provide inactivity alerts as well.

The Polar M600 feature 1.3-inch (240 x 240 pixels TFT display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MT2601 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and IPX8 rating making it waterproof. It also offers wireless music streaming, voice control, notification support and customizable watch faces.

It supports Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and works with smartphones running Android 4.3 or later or iOS 8.2 or later. It has two buttons, one for power and the other for quick training control. It offers two days of standard use and eight hours of work out on single charge.

The Polar M600 is priced at $329 or EUR 349 and will be available worldwide by end of Q3.
