Vodafone slashes mobile internet rates by up to 67 percent


After Idea and Airtel, it's Vodafone India's turn to slashed pre-paid mobile internet rates for 2G, 3G and 4G services . Under Vodafone's Delights bonanza offer, customers can enjoy up to 67 percent more benefits on their existing pre-paid data packs.

Now, the 3GB 3G/4G monthly recharge pack which was earlier priced at Rs. 650, will now offer 5GB data, an increase of 67 percent data quota. The 449 3G/4G pack will now offer 3GB data instead of 2GB. The 999 3G/4G pack now 10GB data.

Coming to sachet packs, the Rs. 39 2G plan with 5-day validity which offered 160MB data, will now offer 225MB data, while the Rs. 12 3G/4G 1-day validity sachet pack now offers 50 data instead of 30MB.

Note that, the revised price may vary from circle to circle.

The announcement comes after Reliance Jio slashed price of 4G LYF handset by 25 percent and now starts at Rs. 2,999. LYF handsets comes bundled with free Jio SIM and under the preview offer valid for three months, under which users are entitled to unlimited 4G data and voice calling. According to reports Jio currently has 1.5 million customers in beta test program.
