Xiaomi introduces Amazfit smartwatch with heart rate sensor and GPS
Xiaomi has finally enter the smartwatch market. The company's sub-brand Huami also responsible for the Mi Band has introduced Amazfit smartwatch in China. The brand claims Amazfit to be the world's first smartwatch to utilize 28nm GPS sensor for location tracking and distance calculation during workouts.
The Amazfit has a 1.34-inch 300 x 300 circular display, that comes with ceramic bezel making it scratch resistant. It is IP67 rated making it water and dust resistance. It has 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and WiFi.
The smartwatch is also equipped with heart rate sensor, which can keep track of users heart beat continuously, while performing different activities throughout the day. It is fueled by a 280mAh battery that promises up to 35 hours of usage in GPS mode, up to 5 days of battery life with normal use and up to 11.6 days of battery life if you use it to track steps and time.
The Amazfit is compatible with devices running Android v4.4 or later, and syncs all the the collected data to the Mi Fit app, which has to be installed on a smartphone.
The Amazfit smartwatch is priced at CNY 799 ($120 | Rs. 8,000) and comes in black color with black and red bands.
