Xiaomi Mi Note 2 render leaked, shows curved display


After Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi's next smartphone offering will be the flagship phablet Mi Note 2. Already few details of Mi Note 2 have surfaced online and now render of the phone have hit the inter-webs, which confirms some of the earlier reports.

Earlier it was reported that, Mi Note 2's high-end model will have dual-camera setup on the back and curved display, and the renders confirm the presence of these. The render also reveals the Mi Note 2 will have 5.5-inch curved OLED display in two screen variants –one with 1080p resolution screen, while the other flaunting 2K resolution display.

The phone will have metallic frame running around the edges and glass back panel. The processing will be handled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 SoC, with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage. It will also have USB Type-C port.

The Mi Note 2 will reportedly run Android 7.0 Nougat with the latest MIUI version. Earlier leaks and rumors have suggested that Mi Note will feature fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, NFC and 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.

It will reportedly be available in three variants – the base model of Mi Note 2 will have 4GB RAM/32GB storage priced at CNY 2499 ($375 | Rs. 25,200), 6GB RAM/64GB storage priced at CNY 2999 ($450 | Rs. 30,000) and the top end model 6GB RAM/128GB storage/2K curved edge display storage priced CNY 3499 ($525 | Rs. 35,300).

Currently there are no details when the Mi Note 2 will launch, but it is expected to happen soon.
