BlackBerry DTEK60 surfaces in press images, to reportedly release on October 11 for $530


Last week BlackBerry accidentally revealed details of its upcoming Android phone DTEK60. The DTEK60, will be BlackBerry's second Android powered flagship after Priv, but will be the third Android smartphone overall (second one is DTEK50).

The DTEK 60 recently passed through FCC and WiFi Alliance certification, and now official press images of the handset has leaked. The images confirms that the DTEK60 will be a re-branded TCL 950 and sport similar design and specifications. The DTEK50 was also a re-branded Alcatel Idol 4s, which was manufactured by TCL.

As for the specs, the DTEK60 will feature 5.5-inch Quad HD display, Snapdrahon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 21MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 4G LTE, USB Type-C, Android Marshmallow, 3000mAh battery and Quick Charge 3.0 support. IT will be BlackBerry's first smartphone to boast fingerprint scanner, which is located at the back.

According to reports the DTEK 60 will be priced at CA$ 699 ($530 | Rs. 35,000) and will release on October 11. An official announcement can be expected soon.
