Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod adds 12MP camera, 10x optical zoom to Moto Z


The Moto Z series phones have got a new Moto Mod add-on accessory which will enhance its imaging experience. Dubbed Hasselblad True Zoom the latest Moto Mod comes from Swedish camera maker Hasselblad and turns the phone into Zoom Camera.

The Hasselblad True Zoom features a 12-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) 10x optical and 4x digital zoom support and 1080p video recording at 30fps. It also has an aperture ranging from f/3.5 to f/6.5, BSI CMOS sensor, focal length range from 4.5mm to 45mm, a Xenon Flash, manuauto ISO, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), two microphones and physical shutter. It offers  manual focus, and a Pro Mode with White Balance, f-stopand Exposure.

The add on camera accessory includes capture modes such as Panorama, Video, Professional, Night Landscape, Night Portrait, Sports, Day Landscape and Black Light Portrait. The Hasselblad True Zoom uses the phones battery and connects over WiFi to feed captured content to the phone.

The Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod is priced at $299 (Rs. 20,000) and will be available globally from September. In the U.S it will be up for pre-order on September 8 and will go on sale from September 15.
