Lenovo Z2 Plus (ZUK Z2) to launch in India on September 22, will be Amazon exclusive

Lenovo has already confirmed that it will be launching its ZUK branded smartphone dubbed Z2 Plus in the India this month. Now the company has sent out press invites for the launch event, which is scheduled for September 22. 

The Lenovo Z2 Plus is an Indian variant of the ZUK Z2, which was unveiled in China back in May. Lenovo has also confirmed that the Z2 Plus will be Amazon India exclusive.

The Lenovo Z2 Plus (ZUK Z2) features 5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, USB Type-C port and 3500mAh battery with quick charge support.

For photography there's 13MP rear camera (w/ LED flash, PDAF) and 8MP front camera. The phone runs Android Marshmallow and has a U-Touch fingerprint sensor baked into the home button. According to sources, there will be another variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

In China the ZUK Z2 (or Z2 Plus) sells for CNY 1799, which is around Rs. 18,000 when converted to INR. However, the Indian pricing is expected to be between Rs. 24,000 and Rs. 30,000. The phone will receive stiff competition from Xiaomi Mi 5 and the flagship killer OnePlus 3.
