New Dell XPS 13 gets Intel's Kaby Lake, killer WiFi, Rose Gold finish


Dell is upgrading its XPS 13 laptop with a new powerful processor and higher capacity batteries, offering more performance, while giving you more run-time hours.

The new model comes with Intel's 7th generation "Kaby Lake" processors and a larger 60WHr battery that can last up to 22 hours (13 hours for QHD+). It also gets a new Rose Gold color option, and comes with a new 1535 Wireless-AC technology, which offers stronger and more reliable WiFi connection.

As usual the Dell XPS 13 sports 13.3-inch screen with the option of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) or QHD+ (3200 x 1800 pixels) touch screen display. The base model has Core i3 Kaby Lake processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and Full HD display. The high-end models will offer up to Core i7 Kaby Lake processor, up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD.

The new Rose Gold variant will be available in two configurations–
Intel 7th Generation Core i5; 8GB memory; 256GB SSD; 13.3-inch FHD
Intel 7th Generation Core i7; 8GB memory; 256GB SSD; 13.3-inch QHD+ with Touch

The Dell XPS 13 will go on sale on October 4 with prices starting at $799. There's also a Developer Edition featuring Ubuntu 16.04 LTS priced at $949, which will go on sale the same day.
