Blaupunkt enters mobile phone accessories market in India
Germany based manufacturer Blaupunkt has entered India's mobile handset accessories segment with its range of products including earphones, USB cables and car chargers.
Starting with the earphones, the brand launched nine earphone including wired earphones and headphones, Bluetooth earphones, wired headphones in the country. They are priced between Rs. 299 and Rs. 599. All the earphones come with in-line mics, and some of them offer tangle free cable, flat cable design and in-line mic and remote controls.
The USB cable are available starting at Rs. 249 and goes up to Rs. 749 depending on the type. In this category, Blaupunkt has launched micro USB 2.0 cables, Apple certified Lightning to USB 2.0 cables and USB Type-C to USB 2.0 cables. They are 1m in length and some of the cable have nylon braiding for durability.
Lastly, the company launched three car chargers, which are priced between Rs. 399 and Rs. 599. They comes with dual-USB output ports to let you charge two devices simultaneously, and also offer fast charging. They also double up as life-saving devices in emergency situations such as cutting seat belts or break the windshields.
Blaupunkt has partnered with New Delhi based distribution Vidur & Co. to sell its mobiles accessories across channels in the country. Most of the accessories like car chargers and earphones are already available for purchase across the country including online retailers like Amazon India.
After India, the company plans to enter SAARC markets such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The company also announced plans to launch smartphone, smartwatches and tablets next.
