vivo Y55L with Snapdragon 430 processor, 4G VoLTE launched in India for Rs. 11,980
Chinese smartphone maker vivo has launched a new smartphone in India dubbed Y55L. It is an upgraded version of Y51L, and comes with a slightly bigger dislay an improved processor and runs Android Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 2.6 on top. It also comes with Smart Split 2.0 split screen feature for multi-tasking and an eye protection mode that reduces blue light to minimize eye-strain.
The vivo Y55L has 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card (up to 128GB).
For photogtaphy, it gets an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie shooter with Screen flash function. In terms of connectivity there's 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM slots, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. A 2600mAh battery keeps it running.
The vivo Y55L is priced at Rs. 11,980 and will be available via retail stores acorss the country starting October 15 in Gold and Space Grey hues.
