Gigabyte unveils powerful Brix Gaming GT desktop PC


Gigabyte is expanding its BRIX line up of mini PC with the addition of a powerful gaming PC called BRIX Gaming GT. Measuring 10.1" x 15" x 5", (276mm x 384mm x 128mm) it is the largest member of the BRIX family to date and packs powerful hardware inside.

The gaming machine will be available in two configurations ― GB-GZ1DTi7-1080-OK-GW and GB-GZ1DTi7-1070-NK-GW. Except the graphic card and RAM capacity, both offer similar configurations.

The GB-GZ1DTi7-1080-OK-GW packs GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with dedicated 8GB GDDR5 RAM, and is equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor and 32GB DDR4 RAM. The storage will be handled by 240GB M.2 SSD and a 1TB HDD. There's also room for a second 2.5" drive.

Other features include 5 x USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB 3.1 Type-A port, a USB Type-C port (USB 3.1/Thunderbolt), HDMI port, Killer E2400 chip (WiFi 802.11ac + Bluetooth combo adapter + Ethernet port) and separate headphone jacks and microphone jacks.

The GB-GZ1DTi7-1070-NK-GW includes GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card and 16GB RAM. Other configuration are similar to the GTX 1080 model.

With hardware like these, the high-end gaming desktop is capable of playing at a 4K resolution or powering VR headsets. They also have an cooling system that draws air from the bottom and pushes it out through vents in the top to keep the system cool. There's also a LED lights on the top of case that works with an Ambient LED program, which lets users adjust the color.

Unfortunately, the pricing and availability details is not known.
