Possible Meizu's 2017 product launch roadmap surface
Chinese smartphone maker Meizu had a busy 2016. The company launched a dozen of smartphones this year including entry-level & mid-range devices and flagships.
Now a document revealing Meizu's launch plans for 2017 have surfaced online. A total of six smartphones are listed along with the processor utilized, Meizu plans to launch next year.
As per the leaked document, Meizu will launch MediaTek MT6753 powered Meizu M5S in February, Helio X30 powered Meizu Pro 7 in June, Helio P25 powered Blue Charm S in July and Meizu M6 Note with Helio P20 on September.
Finally a new M series smartphone with Snapdragon 626 chip will be announced in December. This is odd given Qualcomm and Meizu's history. Earlier this year in June, Qualcomm had filed patent infringement complaints against Meizu in China back , and in October in the U.S, Germany and France. If the roadmap is true we can assume that Meizu has negotiated a license agreement with Qualcomm.
It's worth mentioning that Meizu M5S recently was certified by China's TENAA and 3C (China Compulsory Certification). As per the listing Meizu M5s is a mid-range smartphone featuring 5.2-inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz octa-core processor (MediaTek MT6753 as revealed by the document), 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE, Android Marshmallow and 2930mAh battery.
It will be available in three RAM/Storage configurations ― 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB in Silver, Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold hues.
