Asus launches R558UQ laptop in India with Kaby Lake starting at Rs. 48,990

Asus today launched a new Windows 10 laptop in India dubbed R558UQ, as an update to its existing lineup with Kaby Lake processor, USB Type-C and NVIDIA graphics card.

Asus is offering models with Core i5-7200U processor with 4GB RAM and Core i7-7500U with 8GB RAM priced at Rs. 48,990 and Rs. 59,990 respectively. 

Both laptop models feature 15.6-inch Full HD display, 1TB SATA HDD and 2GB Nvidia GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics card. The RAM is also upgradable through a memory door on the bottom side of the laptop. There's also a VGA web camera.

Ports on the laptop include a USB Type-C 3.1 port, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI port, VGA port, LAN port, microSD card reader and 3.5mm audio jack. For wireless connectivity there's Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 

The laptop promises up to 4.5 hours of battery life and weighs 2.1 kg.

The Asus R558UQ laptop will be available from retail stores as well as online retailers such as Amazon India and Flipkart in Matt Golden, Glossy Dark Brown, Red and Dark Blue colors.
