Asus unveils ZenBook 3 Deluxe with Kaby Lake, bigger display and more ports

The Asus ZenBook 3 was touted to be lighter, thinner and faster than the MacBook Pro. Now the Taiwanese tech giant at CES 2017 has unveiled a refreshed model with a bigger display more processing power and ports.

The Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490UA) gets a larger 14-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution compared to 12.5-inch on ZenBook 3. However it looks like a 13-inch laptop with a bigger display due to the extremely extremely thin bezels.

It is now powered by the latest Intel Core i7-7500U Kaby Lake processor and supports up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage. There are 3 x USB Type-C ports, two of which support Thunderbolt 3.

The laptop has fingerprint reader for Windows Hello secure login, a larger battery and four Harmon Kardon speakers for improved audio. It is 12.9mm thin and weighs just 1.3kg.

The Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe will be available in May starting at $1,699 (Rs. 1,15,300).
