Qualcomm's upcoming top tier Snapdragon 835 mobile processor will power most of the flagship smartphones in 2017.

The chip maker has already revealed some of the details of the 10nm chip like it will support Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology and offer up to 27 percent better performance and draw 40 percent less power than Snapdragon 820/821. The chip will also allow for 30 percent increase in area efficiency resulting in thinner smartphones and more room for other components.

Now just days before Snapdragon 835 is all set to be presented at CES, a set of presentation slides have hit the interwebs revealing more details about the chip.

According to the slides, Snapdragon 835 will feature Qualcomm's Kyro 280 cores (clocked up to 1.9GHz), X16 LTE modem, Hexagon 690 DSP for digital signal processing and support biometric security, cameras with auto-focus and more.

The upgraded Adreno 504 GPU has support for 4K @ 60 frames per second display and video playback with 25 percent graphics rendering and 60x more colors. It will also support OpenGL ES, Vulkan and DirectX 12 as well as HEVC video.

The new chip will also provide performance boost of upto 20 percent for VR, app load times and web browsing when compared to Snapdragon 820. We will know more details about Snapdragon 835 at CES 2017.
