Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium starts receiving Android Nougat


Sony has already updated most of its Xperia X line-up to Android Nougat. Now the company has begun rolling out Nougat to the Xperia Z line up, starting with Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium.

The Nougat update for Xperia Z5/Z5 Premium has the build number 32.3.A.0.372 and is rolling out in phases, while a wider-roll will take place in the coming days.

The update weighs at 1.3GB and brings Android 7.0 features like multi-windows support, new notification panel, improved messaging app, new Xperia home screen with Google now integration and improved battery life. Sony has added few of its features like self-time button to the front camera interface. There's also STAMINA mode with three new power saving level options, and updates the Android security patch level to December 1.

Android Nougat is also expected to arrive to Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 tablet soon.

The Xperia X devices that have been already updated to Nougat include Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ, Xperia X Compact. However, the Xperia XA and XA Ultra are yet to get Android's latest flavor.
