Android Wear 2.0 will arrive on February 9: Evan Blass

Google was expected to launch Android Wear 2.0 last fall, but was delayed to early 2017 due to "quality requirements". Just last week Google confirmed that Android Wear 2.0 will be coming early February 2017, without revealing an actual date. However, now the release has got a possible date.

Evan Blass suggests that Android Wear 2.0 will roll out on February 9. "Mark your calendar: Android Wear 2.0 launches on February 9th." The date falls under the early February time-frame which was revealed by Google earlier.

Android Wear 2.0 was announced back in May at last year's Google I/O event and brings a number of new features ― refreshed UI,  on-watch Play Store, standalone apps, new keyboard with gesture support, handwriting recognition, improved fitness tracking capabilities, Google Assistant, Android Pay and more.

Google is also reportedly working on two Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches code-named Angelfish and Swordfish, however, it is not clear if they will be launched on February 9. It's worth mentioning that early this month Casio unveiled the first Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch dubbed WSD-F20 Smart Outdoor watch

Google has also already confirmed which smartwatches will get Android Wear 2.0 in 2017.
