Xiaomi Mi 6 now rumored to come in three variants

Last week a rumor suggested that Xiaomi's upcoming flagship will arrive in two models ― flat screen w/ 4GB RAM and dual-curved screen w/ 6GB RAM ― powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Now according to a new report coming out of China, the flat screen model will come in two variants. Apart from Snapdragon 835 variant, there will be a more affordable variant powered by MediaTek's Helio X30 processor.

This takes the total number of Mi 6 variants to three ― flat screen w/ Helio X30, flat screen w/ Snapdragon 835/4GB RAM/128GB storage and dual-curved screen model with Snapdragon 835/6GB RAM/ 256GB storage. Furthermore, the dual-curved screen model is said to be similar to Galaxy S7 edge, and have an OLED display.

The source also suggests that the Mi 6 Helio X30 variant will be priced at CNY 1999 ($290 | Rs. 20,000), Snapdragon 835 variant at CNY 2499 ($360 | Rs. 25,000) and the dual-curved screen will cost CNY 2999 ($434 | Rs. 30,000).

It is still not known when Xiaomi plans to launch the Mi 6, however a company official had hinted that Xiaomi will launch a surprise product at MWC. To recall, the Mi 5 made its debut at last year's MWC, so we expect Mi 6 to launch at this year's MWC.

As always with speculated reports, take this one also with a grain of salt.
