Vertu Constellation is a luxury smartphone for the super-rich

Luxury smartphone manufacturer, Vertu has announced a new high-performance premium smartphone called Constellation. As usual the new smartphone from Vertu is targeted at super-rich people and offers exceptional build quality made using luxurious materials.

For instance, Vertu says that Constellation is hand-crafted in England and made out of anodized aluminum and the soft leather of the case is made from a variety of warm, inviting colors, sourced from a specialist, family-run tannery in Italy.

It also has an actual ruby located on the left side, which functions as a button. Pressing it, will get you into contact with Vertu's 24 hours concierge service for assistance.

Coming to the specs, the Vertu Constellation features 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED display protected by a 140 carat 6th generation sapphire crystal screen making it scratch-proof. Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the handset comes with Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

For photography, it gets 12MP rear camera with LED flash, and it is capable of capturing 4K videos. There's also dual-SIM slots (support for 13 international brand and protocols), which is first time for a Vertu phone. Other features include Dual front speaker with Dolby Digital Plus, NFC and USB Type-C and wireless charging support. A 3220mAh battery runs the show.

The Vertu Constellation will be available from mid-February. Buyers will get complementary global Wi-Fi access from iPass, which is world’s largest Wi-Fi network. Vertu is yet to reveal the pricing of the device.
