Xiaomi Mi Bunny is an adorable smart speaker for kids

Xiaomi made its CES debut this year, but it was a bit disappointing since the products it showcased ― Mi TV 4, Mi Router HD, White Mi MIX and others ― would be available in China later this year and not in international market.

That said the Chinese electronics company also introduced a voice based smart speaker for kids dubbed Mi Bunny at CES 2017. The device looks like Xiaomi's bunny mascot 'Kuri' and comes complete with the furry cap.

The Mi Bunny works as a kid's companion integrated with Xiaomi's own voice technology and can read more than 10,000 books out loud to help kids develop their speech and social interaction. It can also send and read received texts on WeChat, a popular messaging app in China.

When you talk to Mi Bunny, its ears light up thanks to the integrated LED lights. Xiaomi says the device's AI integration will get better at interaction and speech recognition over time.

It is fueled by an 1800mAh battery, which should last for up to seven hours on a single charge.

Xiaomi will sell the Mi Bunny exclusively in China for CNY 199 ($29 | Rs. 1,950).
