Honor V9 with 2K display, dual-rear cameras launching on February 21


Huawei is expected to unveil it's flagship P10 and P10 Plus at MWC in Barcelona on February 26. But before that will happen, the company's sub-brand Honor have a major announcement to make. 

Honor will unveil it's flagship the Honor V9 at an event in Beijing, China on February 21. It is the successor of Honor V8, which was Honor's first smartphone to boast 2K display and dual-camera setup. These two feature will be carried forward to the Honor V9, along with some other upgrades to the hardware.



Thanks to China's TENAA, the spec sheet and design of Honor V9 is no mystery. The specs include 5.7-inch Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display, octa-core Kiring 960 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, 12MP dual-rear cameras, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, NFC, USB Type-C and 3900mAh battery. It will have seperate slots of dual-SIMs and microSD card, and will ship with Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0.

The Honor V9 is expected to arrive in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold hues carrying a price tag of CNY 2299 ($234 | Rs. 22,500).
