Samsung's foldable phone to make an appearace at MWC, but only in incognito mode

Samsung won't be launching it's next major flagship, the Galaxy S8 at MWC, instead the company is expected to unveil a new tablet called Galaxy Tab S3. But this does not mean the South Korean tech giants MWC will not be memorable. Earlier reports have suggested that Samsung will showcase the Galaxy S8 to select audience at MWC in Barcelona.

Now according to a new report coming out of Korea, Samsung will also showcase prototypes of its long-rumored foldable smartphones at MWC. ETnews citing unnamed industry source reports that Samsung Electronics and its Display subsidiary will showcase a prototype foldable smartphone and foldable display at MWC.

The company will show two different prototypes of foldable devices – one with a foldable display like a book and the other with an out-fold type screen, the latter is most likely to be commercialized.

Unfortunately, like the Galaxy S8, the foldable devices will be shown to select invitees behind closed doors (private room), as Samsung wants to examine the market response (of foldable devices), before investing in the technology.
