Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+ with VoLTE launched at Rs. 5,490


Intex is launching a new budget smartphone in the form of Aqua Strong 5.1+ in India. It is the successor of Aqua Strong 5.1, and comes with a new design VoLTE support, Spreadtrum chip (vs MediaTek), but ditches the seflie flash and the battery capacity is lowered.

The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+ features 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) TN display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

There's 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front snapper, while the connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2000mAh (vs. 2800mAh on Aqua Strong 5.1) battery runs the show, which promises up to five hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time.

Running Android Marshmallow, the phone also comes integrated with smart tracking feature that allows users to track the phone if it is lost, a 9-in-1 security suite called MiFon Security, QR Code reader and VdioPlay Video aggregator app.

The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+ is priced at Rs. 5,490 and will be available via online and offline channels. It comes in Black and Gold hues.
