Motorola's first dual-camera phone surfaces in live images

Motorola's Moto X series was the brands top of the line range smartphone, before Lenovo (Moto's owner) moved away from it and started focusing on the semi-modular Moto Z line up. However, if a new leak is to be believed, it appears that the Moto X line up is set to make a come back soon.

Images of a new Moto phone, which will be the brand's first to sport dual-camera system has surfaced on Google+. According to the post, the photos are of the Moto X 2017 edition and has listed a few specs as well, which suggests the phone is a mid-ranger.

As seen in the photos, the Moto X 2017 has a design similar to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus with a metal unibody design, and the round cutout in the back houses the dual-camera equipment. Moreover, like the Moto G5/G5 Plus, the Moto X 2017's fingerprint sensor is baked into the home button, which now aside from unlocking the phone offers more functionality (on Moto G5 series). Interestingly the selfie camera is accompanied by an LED flash, which also first in a Moto phone.

The source claims that Moto X 2017 will feature Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Other details are not available for now. However, considering the specs, the phone is likely to be the successor of Moto X Play/Z Play. We can expect more details to come out in the near future.
