ZUK Edge with Snapdragon 821, 6GB RAM goes official


Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK has officially unveiled the ZUK Edge smartphone in China. The phone sports narrow bezels on the sides, top, and bottom for bezel-less display having a screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 percent and 1.63mm narrow frame. It's not as much as the Xiaomi Mi MIX (91.3 percent) but still, very close.

Coming to the specs, the ZUK Edge sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with either 4GB or 6GB RAM options and houses 64GB internal storage.


For photography, it gets 13MP Samsung ISOCELL rear camera with LED flash, PDAF + CAF dual-focus and f/2.2 aperture. On the front there's 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.

In terms of connectivity ZUK Edge offers support for dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFI 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB 3.1 Type-C. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat based ZUI 2.5 and is fulled by 3100mAh battery. Other features include fingerprint scanner (baked into the U-Touch home button), heart rate sensor, Dirac HD Sound for Hi-Fi audio and Quick Charge 3.0.

The ZUK Edge 4GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 2299 ($330 | Rs. 22,500), while the 6GB RAM variant costs CNY 2499 ($360 | Rs. 24,500). The phone comes in Ceramic White and Titanium Black hues and will go on sale in China starting January 1.
