Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro with 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 626 gets official


After several leaks, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy C5 Pro in China by listing it on the company website. The Galaxy C5 Pro joins its bigger sibling Galaxy C7 Pro, which was launched back in January this year. It sports the same metal unibody design and almost same set of specs as Galaxy C7 Pro, except for the screen size and battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro features 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage 64GB, and is expandable microSD card (up to 256GB).

For photography, there's 16MP front and rear camera with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera also gets an LED flash. On the connectivity front, the phone has dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C port. 

Measuring in at 145.7 x 71.4 x 7 mm and weighing 172g, the Galaxy C5 Pro boots Android Marshmallow and is fueled by 2600mAh battery. It also includes fingerprint sensor (embedded into the home button) Samsung Pay support and Always On Display.

For comparison, the Galaxy C7 Pro had a bigger 5.7-inch display and 3300mAh battery.

The Galaxy C5 Pro is priced at CNY 2499 ($362 | Rs. 24,000) and is available for pre-order in China in Rose Gold, Arctic Blue and Gold color.
