Samsung's 5100mAh power bank, DeX station surfaces in renders


Exactly a week from today, Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S8. Along with the new flagship, the South Korean tech giant will unveil new accessories as well, and today we get to look two of them ―  the power bank and the DeX station.

The power bank with model number EB-PG950 will pack 5100mAh battery, and come in Grey and Blue colors. It will have USB Type-C charging and 15W fast charging capabilities. Design wise, Samsung's power bank will have a sleek and compact design with curved edges. The battery level indicator is present on the side, while the power button and 2 x USB ports are at the bottom, along with a holder strap that makes it easier to carry around. The Power Bank is expected to cost 60 Euros ($64 | Rs. 4,200).

 

Next is Samsung's Desktop Experience Station, simply called DeX station, will let users to transform the Galaxy S8/S8+ into a full fledged Android PC. The feature is similar to Microsoft's Continuum. You have to dock Galaxy S8 or S8+ on the DeX station, and connect it to a big monitor for a full fledged PC experience. The dock also has USB ports, so that you can connect keyboard and mouse.


The DeX station will include a USB Type-C port for providing power to the Galaxy S8, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, an 100Mbps Ethernet port and an HDMI port that can handle 4K display at 30fps. It also has a cooling fan inside to keep it cool, while Galaxy S8 functions as a PC. The dock will be priced at 150 Euros ($161 | Rs. 10,000).

Meanwhile, Evan Blass has shared new renders of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ giving us a look at both of their sizes from multiple angles, and in all three colors namely Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver.
