Sony Xperia XZs India launch set for April 4


Sony Mobile today announced that, the company will launch the Xperia XZs in India on April 4. The phone was introduced at MWC 2017, along with Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra. It is not known when the other devices will launch in the country.

The Sony Xperia XZs is one of the world's first smartphone (the other Xperia XZ Premium) to boast Motion Eye camera, which offer super slow motion video and Predictive Capture. The Motion Eye camera is capable of shooting 960fps video slow motion video, which allows slowing time 4x slower than the current camera phones standard. 

The Motion camera is built around the 19MP f/2.0 camera featuring predictive auto-focus, Laser auto-focus, and an RGBC-IR sensor for true to life colors. The main camera is also capable of recording 4K video and includes SteadyShot-5 axis digital stabilization for shake free videos.


As far as other specs are concerned, the Xperia XZs features 5.2-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 13MP f/2.0 wide-angle selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, NFC, USB Type-C and 2900mAh battery. It is IP65/68 rated for dust and water resistance and runs Android Nougat.

The Xperia XZs launching in the country is most likely to have dual-SIM slots. The price can be expected to be around Rs. 45,000 - Rs.50,000. We will know more details next Tuesday.
