Elephone P9000 with 4GB RAM, Android Nougat launched in India at Rs. 11,999

China based smartphone maker Elephone forayed into the Indian market back in July 2015 with the G7. It later teamed up with a local brand to launch the P8000. Both handsets received cold response, and since then the company hasn't released a smartphone.

However, today, Elephone is launching the successor of P8000 in India. Dubbed P9000, the phones boasts specs same as Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4, Lenovo's Vibe K6 Note and Motorola's Moto G5 Plus and is priced reasonably as well. But, given Elephone's low market presence in the country, the P9000 will struggle to compete against the popular budget phones.

Coming to the specs, the Elephone P9000 features 5.5-inch Full HD display with very slim 1.6mm bezels to achieve 82 percent screen to body ratio for a bezel-less design. It also flaunts a slim profile with a thickness of just 7.4mm.

The Elephone P9000 is equipped with MediaTek Helio P10 chip (w/ Mali T860 GPU), 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, which can be increased via microSD card.

It gets 13MP Sony IMX258 f/2.0 camera at the back along with LED flash and 8MP selfie camera. A 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on, while the connectivity duties are handled by dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C. It runs Android Nougat, and includes a fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Elephone P9000 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and is available through Amazon India in Black color.
