Meizu E2 with Helio P20, 4GB RAM, 4-LED flash announced


Meizu is expanding its 'E' series line up with the addition of the E2, the company's latest budget smartphone for China. The device sports a 7.5mm thick metal unibody design, that weighs 155g, and the mTouch fingerprint sensor is baked into the home button. It sports an unusual LED flash, containing four LEDs which is embedded into the plastic stirp of the antenna.

The Meizu E2 feature 5.5-inch Full HD LCD display and is powered by 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor paired with Mali T880 GPU. It comes in two versions: 3GB RAM/64GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. The storage is expandable and the device run YunOS based Flyme 6.0.


For photography, the E2 comes with 13MP f/2.2 PDAF rear camera with 4-LED flash, that promises bright and clear photos in low light conditions. For selfies and video calling , it gets 8MP f/2.0 front camera with 1.4μm pixel size.

Connectivity options include hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. It is backed by 3400mAh battery, which supports fast charging, to offer up to 40 percent charge in just 30 minutes.

The Meizu E2 3GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1299 ($188 | Rs. 12,000) and the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version will cost CNY 1599 ($230 | Rs. 15,000). It is available for pre-order today, and will go on sale starting April 29.
