Three new Huawei Matebook on the way

Huawei introduced its first Windows 2-in-1 tablet, the Matebook last year at MWC 2017. A year later the company is said to be working on three new MateBook models featuring different designs — MateBook E, MateBook X and MateBook D. Each models will run Windows 10 and have touchscreen displays and keyboards.

The Huawei MateBook E will be the successor of the first-gen MateBook and will have the same design. It is a tablet with a removable keyboard cover with touchpad and foldable design, that lets you use the cover to prop up the tablet, and use it like a laptop.

The MateBook X looks more like a traditional laptop while the MateBook D has Lenovo's Yoga-like design. It is basically a touchscreen laptop but sports a 360 degree hinge, that lets you flip the screen backwards so that you can use it as a tablet.

According to the source, one of the new MateBook model will be powered by Intel Core i5 Kaby Lake processor and pack 8GB RAM, whil the other will feature Core M processor.

Huawei's new MateBook lineup is expected to be announced on May 23.
