HP refreshes Envy 13, Envy 17 laptops, Envy x360 convertible
Besides the refreshed Spectre x2, HP is also refreshing the Envy 13 and Envy 17 laptops, and Envy x360 convertible with improved performance, thanks to Kaby Lake.
The new HP Envy 13 features 13.3-inch Full HD display with slim bezels and can be configured with up to Core i7 processor and up to 16GB RAM. It sports an all-metal chassis with gold-colored finish, and includes HD WDR camera, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, and battery life up to 14 hours.
The HP Evny 17 has the same design as Envy 13, but gets a larger 17.3-inch display with optional UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, optical disc drive and NVIDIA graphics.Both laptops have Bang & Olufsen tuned-audio, and some model will have a fingerprint sensor embedded into the touchpad.
Lastly, the HP Envy x360 is a convertible laptop sporting unibody aluminum chassis offered in Dark Ash Silver and Natural Silver. It has fluid geared hinge, through which users will be able to position the laptop in various mode - stand mode, tent mode or tablet mode.
It features 15-inch UHD (3840x2160) IPS display and HP is offering models with Core i5, Core i7, AMD A9, AMD A12 and AMD FX processors and up to 16GB DDR4 RAM. Select models will pack NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics.
It offers 10 hours of battery life and includes 2 x USB 3.1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C port, an HDMI 2.0 port and microSD card reader. It also comes with Wide Vision FHD IR Camera, Bang & Olufsen tuned-audio, N-tig Stylus and supports Windows Ink function.
The HP Envy 13 and Envy 17 prices start at $1049.99 and $999.99 respectively, while the Envy x360 starts at $899.99. They will be available starting June.
