iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G 10.1-inch tablet with Remix OS launched for Rs. 17,499


iBall is launching new version of the Slide Brace-X1 4G tablet, which was launched backed in November, 2016. The new version of the tablet retains the hardware, but instead of running Android, it will now boot Remix OS.

For those unaware Remix OS is a forked version of Android designed to run on PCs. It offer a fully functional desktop experience similar to Microsoft's Windows OS boasting features like multiple-window support for multi-tasking allowing to run multiple apps side by side, system tray, notification, Taskbar, Start Menu, keyboard and mouse optimizations and advanced file manager.

iBall says that the company's future Slide series tablet will run Remix OS.

As far as specs are concerned, iBall Slide Brace-X1 4G comes with 10.1 inch IPS display bearing the resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and is equipped with 1.3GHz octa-core ARM Cortex A53 processor (w/ Mali T720 GPU), 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage and a beefy 7800mAh battery. 

The tablet has 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera for video chats. Other specs include SIM slot, 4G LTE support for voice calling capabilities, WiFi, Bluetooth and dual-chambered speakers. It also sports a kickstand that lets you prop up the tablet while watching movies or playing games.

The iBall Slide Brace X1-4G with Remix OS is priced at Rs. 17,499, same as the Android version, and will be available in select stores across the country soon.
