PBS kids announces PBS KIDS Plug & Play streaming stick device


Educational media brand PBS KIDS, has announced PBS Kids Plug & Play, a streaming stick aimed at kids. It looks like a toy race car, and comes with child-friendly remote. Just like other streaming devices, it have to plugged into TV's HDMI port, to transform it into an interactive, safe, educational playtime experience.

The PBS Kids Plug & Play comes pre-loaded with educational contents like sing-alongs, exclusive games and other original content that can be accessed without WiFi. But, when the device is connected to WiFi, it offers access to PBS KIDS 24/7 channel as well as more than 100 hours of on-demand video.

According to the press release, the pre-loaded games include Rail Riders (find special cargo and treasures), Sound Box (experiment with music and sounds) and Road Trip Adventure (learn about shapes and colors).

It comes with 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, an HDMI connector, microUSB port and SD card slot.

The PBS KIDS Plug & Play is priced at $49.99 and is available in the USA via walmart.com, and starting May 24 will be available in Walmart stores.
